4 shot outside of malls during Black Friday frenzy

2 killed during shootings at malls' parking lots in New Jersey, Nevada

MIAMI – Among the four shot in incidents linked to violence during Black Friday was a 21-year-old man who was killed in the parking lot of a mall in New Jersey. 

Demond Cottman died outside of Hamilton Mall in Atlantic City, police said according to the Press of Atlantic City.

His 26-year-old brother Shadi Cottman was shot in the leg and was in stable condition, the ABC News affiliate reported

A 33-year-old man was shot and killed in what police described as a road rage incident outside of a Walmart Supercenter in Nevada, the ABC News affiliate reported.  

A 21-year-old man was wounded in a shooting at a mall in Tennessee. Derrick Blackburn, 19, was arrested in connection to the shooting, according to WMC Action News 5

In South Florida, stores like BrandsMart, Best Buy, Target and Walmart were competing for customers with discounts on electronics. Drones and hoverboards were popular items, but for the most part authorities reported shoppers remained calm.
