CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Newly released surveillance video shows the owner of a jewelry store inside a South Florida mall shoot an employee.
The video, released Thursday by Coral Springs police, shows Saturday's shooting inside the Coral Square Mall.
Coral Springs police said Fast-Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs owner Gus Kiriazis, 59, shot employee Sabas Antonio Ferrer, 52, several times before fatally shooting himself.
"It was not a random shooting," Detective Ernesto Bruna said Saturday.
The video shows Kiriazis leave the room and return seconds later, shooting Ferrer several times. Ferrer runs out of view and Kiriazis follows, firing the whole way.
Ferrer was taken to Broward Health North, where he was last listed in stable condition.
The video doesn't show Kiriazis turn the gun on himself.
Several mall patrons called 911 after hearing the gunshots.
Police are still investigating a motive for the shooting.
