SUNRISE, Fla. – A lawsuit was filed last Friday against a day care in Sunrise, three years after a former employee was arrested for allegedly molesting multiple children at day cares throughout Broward County.
The complaint accused New Society Preschool to have been negligent in their handling of the accusations made against the employee, Olakunle Omomowo, and is seeking no less than $5 million from the business.

File: Complaint filed against New Society Preschool
The victim's parents claimed that Omomowo groped their daughter's chest during class on at least one occasion. The girl was 4 years old at the time.
The complaint alleged that the child's parents contacted school officials, who claimed that Omomowo accidentally brushed his hand across the girl's chest as she tried to show him a piece of paper.
The girl's parents said the girl refuted his claim and cried hysterically when they went to the classroom to confront Omomowo.
The girl was removed from the classroom at the request of the parents.
According to the complaint, New Society administrator Raquel Hamilton recommended Omomowo to Discovery Preschool in Coconut Creek in January 2013, and a New Society administrator also recommended Omomowo a year before to Phyl's Academy Preparatory School in Lauderdale Lakes.
Omomowo was arrested in 2013 for molesting former students, including at Discovery Preschool and Phyl's Academy.
Discovery Preschool was ordered in March to pay $3 million to the family of another 4-year-old girl, who accused Omomowo of molesting her.
