DAVIE, Fla. ā Davie police are searching for two people who were captured on surveillance video stealing two cellphones from a Sprint store.
The incident was reported shortly after 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Sprint at 6888 Stirling Road.
Davie police Sgt. Mark Leone said two males entered the store and snatched three cellphones from the displays.
Leone said one of the cellphones was dropped as employees chased the thieves out of the store.
"He managed to get it out, but after I chased him down (and) took a swing, he dropped it, and we were able to recover that one. Unfortunately, the two iPhone 7's -- gone," Carlos Russell said.
The stolen cellphones are valued at $1,600 total.

Similar robberies were reported Thursday at a Sprint store on University Drive and Nov. 18 at Metro PCS authorized dealer, Sonic Boom, at 4232 Davie Road.
A reward up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
