Hollywood homicide suspect apprehended, jailed

John Edward Brown, 26, held without bail


BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Police arrested a man Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting on Dec. 14.

According to the Hollywood Police Department, officers responded to sounds of gunfire just after 4:11 p.m. at 915 South 21st Avenue to find a man, identified as Marcus Dwayne Parker, 43, dead in an alley.

John Edward Brown, 26, was identified as a suspect. Police developed information on his whereabouts and apprehended him at 3458 Capri Dr. on Wednesday.

Brown was taken into custody for the homicide and is being held at the Broward County Main Jail without bail.
