NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A man was shot in the leg Wednesday morning in North Lauderdale, authorities said.
The shooting was reported about 9:40 a.m. at 7905 SW Eighth St.

Broward Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Joy Oglesby said deputies applied a tourniquet to the victim's leg and he was taken to Broward Health North.
Silver Lakes Middle School was temporarily placed on lockdown after the shooting, Oglesby said.
No arrests have been made.
