Trump, Tiger Woods golf together in West Palm Beach

Employee who attended golf outing praises event

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – President-elect Donald Trump teed up for 18 holes with golf champion Tiger Woods.

Trump and Woods met Friday morning at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, just across the Intracoastal Waterway from where Trump typically spends the holidays.

The two have met on several occasions when Woods competed at various Trump-owned golf courses. It's unclear whether this is the first time they're playing a round of golf together.

Woods made a long-awaited comeback at the Hero World Challenge this month, his first competitive round in more than a year after back injuries sidelined him from the game.

The Jupiter resident has also played golf with President Barack Obama.

Trump denied media access to his club during the golf outing, but an employee who spoke to Local 10 News said it was a great event.

"It was awesome to watch," employee Ben Gardner said. "Tiger was having a great time. He was great with the crowd."
