How to recycle your Christmas tree in Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade County's waste collection service to help with Christmas tree

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – The last day for Miami-Dade County residents to place their tree at the curbside for pick-up is Jan. 9. 

Solid waste officials were asking the public to remove the stand, lights, ornaments, tinsel and other decorations from the tree.

Miami-Dade residents who are not allowed to place trees at the curbside can take them to any of these locations.

  • Moody Drive – 12970 SW 268 St.
  • North Dade Landfill – 21500 NW 47 Ave.
  • Norwood – 19901 NW 7 Ave.

  • Richmond Heights – 14050 Boggs Dr.
  • Snapper Creek – 2200 SW 117 Ave.
  • South Miami Heights – 20800 SW 117 Ct.

Miami-Dade residents who want Christmas tree mulch can drop off their tree and pick up mulch at these locations.
