A security guard reported seeing a man driving recklessly and yelling, "They took my brother," sheriff's spokeswoman Becky Herrin said. The security guard said the man, later identified as Odendhal, was driving a gray truck and appeared to be on drugs.

Deputies later spotted the truck traveling north on the bridge. Drivers reported seeing the man periodically stopping the truck, getting out, yelling and running in front of cars.

A deputy witnessed Odendhal jump onto the roof of a car. Odendhal then jumped down and sat on the side of the bridge with his head down.

Odendhal was placed under arrest and booked into jail. His truck was moved from the bridge.
