Donard Louis shot outside Studio 5 Ten

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Broward Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for a fatal drive-by shooting in Lauderhill.

Police said the shooting happened between 3:20 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. Monday outside a strip mall in the 4500 block of North University Drive.

Donard Louis was celebrating a friend's 21st birthday at Studio 5 Ten when an argument started and continued outside, police said.

Authorities said he was not on the guest list, but had been invited by friends and was permitted to be at the venue.

Police said he was shot by someone in a moving vehicle

"I didn't see the guy on the ground," witness David Meyers said. "I didn't know where he was. I saw a woman crouched down walking. She said they shot him in the head and I saw a couple of other people calling the cops or trying to figure out what was going on."

Louis was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he died.

Anyone with information about the gunman is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
