Grief counseling offered to South Floridians after airport attack

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Grief counseling is being offered by Florida Blue to those in the South Florida area who may have been affected by the attack at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

Florida Blue, in partnership with New Directions Behavioral Health, said it is providing the community access to specially trained behavioral health counselors via a 24-hour toll-free help line at 800-843-6514.

The grief counselor support is free of charge to anyone in the South Florida area. Florida Blue said it is available to English and Spanish-speaking individuals.

The help line is available to those affected, whether or not they are Florida Blue members, the company said.
