Company forced to recall 'Nazi Boots' over swastika treads

A company has been forced to recall a style of its military-style boots after it was noticed the tread left a symbol of the Nazi regime.

The Washington Post reports that Conal International Trading Inc. has recalled its Polar Fox boots when swastika imprints were left on the ground.

The company will no longer sell the boot.

A user on Reddit originally posted a picture and registered his complaint about the swastika.

“There was an angle I didn’t get to see when ordering my new work boots,” the Reddit poster wrote.

The company apologized for the mistake Friday, claiming that the design was not intentional and says they do not promote or discrimination of any kind.

The Washington Post report says that the boots were ironically named after a World War II operation in which German soldiers aided in capturing a Finnish city from the Soviet Union.
