Thief steals more than 2 dozen cases of Red Bull from Publix stores in Weston

Detectives believe man might be responsibe for various thefts throughout Broward

WESTON, Fla. – Broward Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for a thief who was captured on surveillance video stealing more than two dozen 12-pack cases of Red Bull from Publix stores in Weston.

The first theft was reported Jan. 12 at a Publix at 1170 Weston Road.

Deputies said the man placed 11 cases of Red Bull into a shopping cart and then casually strolled out of the store without paying.

Deputies said he did the same thing minutes later at a second Publix at 1601 Promenade Blvd., where he stole four cases.

The man was captured on surveillance video returning to the Publix on Promenade Boulevard on Sunday, when he stole 11 additional cases of Red Bull, deputies said.

Detectives believe the man has targeted various stores throughout Broward County and might be using rental cars during the crimes.
