MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend, authorities said.
Police said Oscar Gonzalez was found Tuesday along Southwest 119th Avenue and 182nd Terrace.
Rosemery Ramirez-Morales, 23, was found dead Saturday morning in her apartment at the Fontainebleau Milton at 9621 Fontainebleu Blvd. by her roommate.
Officers have been called to the building earlier after a man called 911 to report that something had occurred at the apartment building.
Because no apartment number was given, officers were initially unable to find Ramirez-Morales, authorities said.
Police said Ramirez-Gonzalez had been shot to death by Gonzalez, who also lived with her.
Gonzalez faces a second-degree murder charge.
According to an arrest report, he confessed to killing his girlfriend.
A motive for the killing is unknown.
