White was arrested Tuesday and booked into the main Palm Beach County jail. He faces charges of first-degree murder, burglary with assault or battery and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office report, Izarion was sitting in a car with the boy's stepfather, his mother and a 4-year-old boy when a man, later identified as White, got inside and pulled out a gun.
The boy's stepfather told detectives that he was scared White was trying to rob him and thought he would kill or harm his family, so he tried to snatch the gun from White, pushing it toward the floorboard. As White was trying to pull the gun up, it discharged, fatally wounding Izarion, the boy's stepfather told detectives.
Izarion was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center, where he died.
