Cat rescued in fire

COOPER CITY, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office Department of Fire Rescue is investigating a fire that broke out late Sunday night in Cooper City.

Firefighters were called to extinguish the flames at 5727 SW 117th Ave. 

Nine people were displaced in the fire.

A cat was rescued from a burning home in Cooper City.

No one was hurt, but a cat had to be rescued. 

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
