Gunshot victim dies after driven to North Miami fire station

Victim dies at Aventura Hospital

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A gunshot victim who was driven to a North Miami fire station Wednesday morning for help has died.

The 20-year-old man, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, walked into the fire station at 13000 NE 16th Ave., North Miami police said. He was taken to Aventura Hospital, where he died.

Police said the victim was shot about two miles away at 1450 NE 109th St. in  Miami and was driven to the fire station.

Fire Capt. Sean Smiley said it was about 8:30 a.m. were four people inside the Chevrolet Malibu arrived at the station.

"We were outside when they arrived," Smiley said.

Family members identified the victim as Gregory Delice.

Homicide detectives were questioning the other people in the car.
