Miami burglars make off with $5,000 in cash, $10,000 in valuables

Burglary captured on home surveillance

MIAMI – Two men broke into a Miami apartment on Friday and made off with $5,000 in cash and $10,000 worth of valuables, Miami police said.

A surveillance camera captured footage of the burglars using a power drill  and screwdriver to break into the apartment, which sits in the 1400 block of Northwest 15th Avenue.

They were then seen leaving the building with a suitcase filled with the victim’s property and a black duffle bag, police said.

One of the burglars is said to be a man with short haircut and a  full beard, between 30 to 35 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing approximately 175-185 pounds, and last seen wearing a gray polo shirt and dark pants.

The other man is described as having a full beard,  being between 20-30 years of age, approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 160-170 pounds, last seen wearing a dark gray hoodie, dark pants.
