'Suspicious package' found in middle of Miami road deemed safe

MIAMI – Miami police investigated reports Thursday morning of a suspicious package that was found in the middle of the road.

Police said the "package," a black tote, was spotted in the area of Northwest Third Street and Second Avenue.

Roads were closed in the area as they investigated.

Authorities said nothing dangerous was found inside the bag.
