HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A man was found dead Friday morning in a fire at a Hallandale Beach mobile home, Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue Division Chief Lori Williams said.
Firefighters were called to a fire at the Royal Palm Mobile Home Park, 720 S. Federal Highway, about 4:45 a.m.

After extinguishing the fire, they found an elderly man dead inside the home, Williams said.
A weapon was also found, Williams said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
