According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office report, deputies found Gordon on Tuesday night standing outside a home on Northwest Fourth Avenue, bleeding from a cut to his head.

Another man, identified as Everton Clark, 47, was in the front yard with multiple stab wounds to his chest.

Gordon told deputies that Clark attacked him with a machete, so he ran inside the house, grabbed some knives and threw them at Clark.

A witness told deputies that Gordon struck first, attacking Clark with a folding pocket knife during an argument. The witness said Gordon pulled the knife from his hip area and lunged at Clark, stabbing him several times.

Another witness provided a similar statement to deputies.

Gordon and Clark were taken to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries. Gordon was later booked into jail.
