NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – A 2-year-old boy fell 20 feet out of a window Monday night in North Miami, police said.
The boy pushed the screen out of a window in an apartment complex in the 14000 block of Northeast 18th Avenue while he was home with his grandmother, police said.

The boy's grandmother was cooking in the kitchen at the time of the incident and told police that she could hear her grandson crying from outside the family's apartment.
He was was alert when first responders arrived and took him to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
