Driver stuck in I-95 shutdown practices yoga on highway

Woman finds peace while stuck in traffic

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A late morning traffic accident that shut down the northbound lanes of I-95 sent one woman to the dogs... the downward dogs.

While most drivers steamed in their cars as they wore out their smartphones and cursed Waze, Kristin Bjornsen took the extra time to work on her Cobra pose.

And her Plow pose.

And King Pigeon pose.

Bjornsen wasn't about to let a traffic meltdown ruin her day. Instead, she broke out her trusty mat and began practicing yoga.

Yes, right on the highway.

For almost two hours, Bjornsen was stuck in the mess caused by a crash involving an armored van near Miami Gardens Drive.

With new-found free time on her hands, Bjornsen took advantage of the rare opportunity to mix wild adventure with yoga.

When she was finally freed from the tie-up at 11:30 a.m., Bjornsen was at peace, well-rested and, of course, late.
