MIAMI – The Miami-Dade Police Department is warning the public of a hoax document that is making the rounds on social media and various texting groups.
The hoax uses what appears to be an official Miami-Dade County document.

The document claims to warn women about gangs who are attempting to rape them.
The fake warning advises women to stay away from young people crying on the side of a road who ask to be taken to a particular address. Women are urged to take these people to the police station as it is a new way for gang members to commit rape.
Readers are told the warnings have been shared by CNN and FOX News, although that is not the case.
However, police want to reiterate that the document in question is fake and that if anyone is suspicious of any action, they should call 9-1-1 or 305-4-POLICE for non-emergencies.
