TAMARAC, Fla. – A South Florida woman was arrested Friday in connection with a fatal crash in Tamarac, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

Bobby Russell, 73, was killed in the crash that was reported at 8:15 p.m. April 8 in the area of Northwest 79th Avenue and West Commercial Boulevard.

Deputies said Stephanie Pantuliano, 30, was leaving a shopping plaza when her 2008 Cadillac paused briefly at a crosswalk and then accelerated at a red light across West Commercial Boulevard.

Deputies saidĀ Pantuliano'sĀ car struck Russell's 2006 Scion.

Russell later died from his injuries.

Deputies saidĀ PantulianoĀ appeared to be impaired. The BSO DUI Task Force Unit responded to the scene and drew blood.

PantulianoĀ faces charges of DUI manslaughter and DUI causing property damage.Ā
