Carriage horse runs free in New York City
Horse returns to stable unharmed
Goldie the carriage horse had a joy ride of her own this week.
On Tuesday, she got loose and ran among cars in the streets of Manhattan, eventually making her way back to the stable where she's kept, WABC reported.
"The horse came home, and didn't have enough exercise, and ran around for a couple blocks, and then ran back to the stable and went and ate her hay," said carriage driver Basil Northam, WABC reported.
She was galloping solo during rush hour, The New York Post reported. The horse incident comes two weeks after a tourist horse being ridden through traffic was spooked by a truck and fell backward onto a taxi.
