MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – A man left the assisted-living facility where he lives and told staffers he was headed to the Hialeah area, but hasn’t been seen since, the Miami-Dade Police Department said Friday.
Sergio Meras, who is now considered missing and endangered, left the home -- in the 12200 block of SW 184th Street -- about 10 a.m. Wednesday, police said in a news release.
Meras, 61, is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown eyes and partially gray hair, officers said. When he left, he had a low-cut beard and wore a white T-shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes.
Meras may be in need of services, police said.
