Queens man accused of victimizing South Florida individuals, retailers

LEE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ A Queens man accused of victimizing individuals and retailers throughout South Florida has been arrested, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said.

A traffic stop was conducted Wednesday on northbound Interstate 75 near mile marker 144 for following too closely.

Deputies explained the reason for the stop to the driver. During the traffic stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle.

An illegal credit-card encoder/reader and several fraudulent credit cards and gift cards were found during the search, deputies said. Also seized was $4,600 that was obtained from the fraudulent use of the credit cards.

Deputies said Eric Sedore, 23, of Queens, New York, was victimizing numerous individuals and retailers throughout South Florida from Miami to Fort Myers.

Sedore was arrested on possession of two or more counterfeited credit cards, marijuana possession not more than 20 grams and fraudulent illegal use of credit cards.
