IRAQ ā A member of Canada's elite special forces team broke the world record for longest kill shot when he downed an ISIS fighter within the last month.
The shot came from 2.19 miles away during an operation in Iraq.

The Globe and Mail reports the shot easily broke the longest kill shot in military history by almost three-quarters of a mile.
The shot from a McMillan TAC-50 sniper rifle took under 10 seconds to hit the target.
āThe Canadian Special Operations Command can confirm that a member of Joint Task Force 2 successfully hit a target at 3,540 metres (8120 feet),ā the military said in a statement. āFor operational security reasons and to preserve the safety of our personnel and our Coalition partners we will not discuss precise details on when and how this incident took place.ā
The report claims the kill was independently verified by a video camera and other data.
