Man killed; woman, teen girl hurt in shooting


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police are searching for answers after a fatal shooting that took place Thursday night.

Stanley Julien, 19, was sitting in the driver's seat of a vehicle at about 6:18 p.m. in the 1500 block of Northwest 16th Court when shots rang out, Fort Lauderdale police said. He was later found dead inside the car.  

A 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old girl were outside the vehicle when rescue crews arrived at the scene. The two were taken to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said that the three victims in this case were traveling westbound when two men walked up to their vehicle and began shooting at them. The men were seen fleeing the area on foot.
