Husband, wife found dead in apparent murder-suicide in Pembroke Pines

Detectives believe Ronald Bennette fatally shot Shani Bennette, then self

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A husband and wife were found dead early Thursday morning in an apparent murder-suicide in Pembroke Pines, police said.

Ronald Bennette, 38, and Shani Bennette, 39, were found dead in a vehicle outside their home in the 1100 block of Southwest 110th Avenue, Pembroke Pines police Sgt. Darryl Curtiss said in a news release.

When officers arrived shortly after 12:30 a.m., they found the suspect and the victim dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

Detectives are still investigating, but they believe Ronald Bennette fatally shot his wife during a domestic dispute and then shot himself.
