HOUSTON – As if the victims of Hurricane Harvey do not have enough to deal with, a new danger seems like it comes from a schlocky 1950's horror movie.
Reports of fire ant "islands" have begun to file in after the epic flooding near the Houston area.

Omar Villafranca of CBS News tweeted out a video of one such island filled with hundreds of thousands of dangerous fire ants.
The floating colony rides the flood waters until it finds a dry patch of land in which to make a new home.
Despite the sightings, KTVT says no calls of ant biting injuries have been reported.
