Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said the man called 911 Monday morning and told deputies that his friend had attacked him. He said Cunningham used to live with him at his trailer home in Key Largo, but his landlord kicked her off the property.

The man told deputies that she still keeps her belongings at his home and went there to get ready for work. He said she walked to a neighbor's home, where her boss lives, after getting ready and returned a short time later, yelling about not being paid for the days she had worked.

"When he asked her not to be so loud, he said she went crazy," Herrin said.

The man said Cunningham attacked him with a walking stick, punched him in the head and then went next door, returning with a large kitchen knife and chasing him with it.

"He said at one point she picked up a large concrete block and threw it at him as well," Herrin said.

Cunningham left before deputies arrived, but they found her Monday afternoon at a pizza parlor in Key Largo and arrested her.
