Police searching for jogger accused of pooping in public; community calls her 'Mad Pooper'

Jogger could face charges, police say

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Residents of a Colorado Springs neighborhood want a mystery jogger accused of pooping in their neighborhood to cut the... you know.

The Budde family told the CNN affiliate in Colorado Springs that the mystery woman -- whom they have dubbed "The Mad Pooper" -- has defecated right outside of their home.

Cathy Budde's kids were actually the first to spot the woman.

"They are like, 'There's a lady taking a poop!' So I come outside, and I'm like 'Are you serious?'" Cathy told KKTV. "'Are you really taking a poop right here in front of my kids?' She's like, 'Yeah, sorry!'"

Cathy said while it's the first time they caught the woman doing it, it's not the first time it has happened. She estimates the woman defecates in the neighborhood about once a week.

"It's abnormal, it's not something I've seen in my career," Sgt. Johnathan Sharketti told KKTV. "For someone to repeatedly do such a thing... It's uncharted territory for me."

Police said the woman could be facing charges of public defecation and indecent exposure.

"I put a sign on the wall that's like 'please, I'm begging you, please stop,'" Budde said. "She ran by it like 15 times yesterday, and she still pooped."

With public restrooms a block from the neighborhood, the community questions the woman's motives.
