LAS VEGAS – Survivors of other mass shooting that have happened in the U.S. traveled to Las Vegas this week to offer their support to those affected by Sunday's massacre.
The group, which consisted of survivors and their family members, gathered at city hall Thursday where they shared their experiences with victims and offered their support during this difficult time.
"We didn't have that during our mass shootings. We're changing that," Anita Busch, who survived the Aurora theater shooting, said.
Meanwhile, investigators are looking into the planning ahead of the massacre at the Route 91 country music festival, and whether Stephen Paddock had any help.
"It's troublesome (that) this individual was able to move the amount of gear into a hotel room unassisted," Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said.
Sources told ABC News that Paddock was seen with a woman in his final days. Authorities are now working to identify her as the FBI questions Paddock's girlfriend, Marilou Danley, who denies any knowledge of his plot.
"He never said anything to me or took any action I was aware of that I understood in any way to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen," Danley said in a statement read by her attorney, Matthew Lomard.
It seems Paddock may have planned to attack earlier. Authorities said he researched hotels near Fenway Park. He also rented a room at The Ogden condominiums downtown, overlooking a different concert one week ago.
A total of 58 innocent people were killed in the shooting and 487 were injured. Between 100 and 200 people remain hospitalized.
Authorities said security guard Jesus Campos was the first to approach Paddock's hotel room. They said Paddock shot him through the door.
"His bravery was amazing because he remained with our officers, providing them the key pass to access the door and actually continued to help them clear rooms until our officers demanded that he seek medical attention," Lombardo said.
