BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – A Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputy shot a woman before killing himself Thursday morning in an attempted murder-suicide in Boynton Beach, police said.
Boynton Beach police spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said officers were called to a shooting at the gated Inlet Harbor Club shortly after 8 a.m.
Slater said a deputy shot and killed a woman and then turned the gun on himself.
The woman was taken to Delray Medical Center in critical condition.
A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
Their identities haven't been released.
