MIAMI – A drunken man repeatedly stabbed his roommate over the weekend after the victim told him that he could no longer live at the apartment, authorities said.

He said he told Saborit on Friday that he could no longer live in the apartment.

Authorities said the victim left the home and returned Saturday morning when he got into an argument with Saborit outside the building.

Police said the argument quickly escalated and the men got into a fight.

The victim ran into his home and realized that he had been stabbed in the chest, left arm and left thigh, the arrest report said.

Miami police and Fire Rescue responded to the apartment.

Saborit was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

Police said a witness told officers that Saborit was around the corner and escorted detectives to 858 SW Second St., where Saborit was arrested.

Police said the suspect was found with a deep cut to his right hand. They said Saborit could not be interviewed at the time because he was drunk, belligerent and being violent toward himself.

Saborit faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery on a person 65 or older.
