Sheriff's cadet uses dad's unmarked police car to pull over ex

A Palm Beach Sheriff's cadet--son of a Palm Beach Sheriff's lieutenant--used his dad's unmarked police car to pull over his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, reports Florida's SunSentinel.

Christopher Combs, 22, pulled over Jamie DiCarlo and Robert Roberts early Saturday morning and ordered Roberts out of the car and onto the ground. Roberts' wallet and pocket knife were subsequently stolen by a passenger who exited the police car.

Combs was ordered not to have any contact with DiCarlo or Roberts and was put on house arrest with GPS monitoring. He faces charges of armed robbery, impersonating a law enforcement officer and false imprisonment.

When asked for comment, Palm Beach Sheriff's Office spokeswoman wrote in an email that Combs "has been fired, effective right now!"
