Man in hat, sunglasses robs Chase Bank branch in Pinecrest, FBI says

Thief leaves in black Cadillac CTS

PINECREST, Fla. – A man wearing a hat and sunglasses to hide his identity robbed a Chase Bank branch Tuesday morning in Pinecrest, the FBI said.

The robbery was reported at 11:37 a.m. at the Chase Bank at 12795 S. Dixie Highway.

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said the robber pulled a weapon on a teller and demanded money.

Leverock said there were customers inside the bank at the time, but no one was injured.

The thief left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Leverock said the man got away in a black 2004-2009 Cadillac CTS.
