Police said a man pulled out a handgun on the clerk and demanded cash from the register.

Police said the 23-year-old clerk paused momentarily out of fear, and the gunman fired one shot into the floor while continuing to demand money.

The clerk gave the robber about $300, authorities said.

Police said the gunman left in an awaiting vehicle. The victim was not injured.

Another armed robbery was reported the night of Oct. 25 at the 167 Street Adult Book Store at 14 NE 167th St.

Police said the robber browsed around the store for a bit, posing as a customer.

Authorities said he approached the counter with a magazine in his hand, but then pointed a gun at the 24-year-old clerk as she went to ring up the transaction.

Police said the man gave the clerk a plastic bag and told her to put all of the store's money inside the bag.

The victim complied with the robber's demands and handed him about $200, authorities said.

Surveillance video showed the man leaving in an older-model, four-door sedan, possibly a Chevrolet.

It's unclear whether the same man was involved in both robberies.
