NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to Wednesday night's fatal shooting of a man at a Bank of America ATM in North Miami Beach.
North Miami Beach police identified the suspect Friday as Marcine Hill. The teenager faces a second-degree murder charge.
Police said Dillon Bud Calvin Steve, 26, was using the ATM near Northeast 12th Avenue and Northeast 163rd Street when he was robbed and shot.
"It could have been anyone walking up to that ATM," Maj. Richard Rand said.
Surveillance images of the gunman showed that he was wearing an Ecko hooded sweatshirt that had a skull on the hood. The sweatshirt had the words "Kill Batman" and "Haha" written on it.
Police said Steve's mother witnessed the shooting while she was sitting in their van.
Hill was arrested in Lauderhill.
"The city of North Miami Beach will not tolerate this type of behavior," Rand said. "We work very closely with our partners in law enforcement, and like I said yesterday, you come into North Miami Beach, you commit a crime, we will hunt you down and I will catch you."
Records show that Hill has been arrested 15 other times in South Florida since 2011 on various charges, including petty theft, grand theft, burglary and robbery.
