WESTON, Fla. – Three people required hospitalization after a mysterious haze prompted some to experience shortness of breath and chest pain Wednesday night at the Anda Pharmaceuticals center in Weston.

The Broward Sheriff's Office hazardous materials team and Sunrise Fire Rescue responded to the building at 2915 Weston Road. They evacuated 12 employees.

The BSO crew "performed a battery of diagnostic tests and found no harmful readings inside or outside the facility," BSO Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael Kane said. "It is unknown what caused the haze."

Firefighters rushed the three workers to the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Weston.
