Broward woman wins $2.3 million slot machine jackpot at Seminole Hard Rock

Payout largest in Hollywood casino's history

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A Broward County woman hit a jackpot beyond her wildest dreams at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, winning more than $2.3 million on a penny slot machine.

The woman, who did not want to be identified, won on a single $3 spin on the Hot Spot machine shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday night.

"She was speaking to family and friends. They didn't believe her, so it almost made her doubt herself," said LuAnn Fetcho, the casino's vice president of marketing.

Fetcho added the woman is a frequent player at the Hard Rock, but is not considered to be a high-roller.

The woman said the first thing she's going to do with her winnings is pay off debt and buy an iPad.

Tuesday's jackpot was the largest at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, but not the largest in the company's history. In 2012, a player won $3.6 million at the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa.

The Hot Spot slot machine is linked to other Bally machines across the country, giving it an increased jackpot.
