FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Fort Lauderdale Air Show will be jam-packed with action through 2019 as both the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Navy Blue Angels will perform over the next two years.
The show announced Tuesday the Thunderbirds will headline the 2018 show on May 5-6, with the Blue Angels performing in 2019.
“We’re delighted to have commitments from the Thunderbirds and the Blue Angels for the next two years,” said Ford Lauderdale Air Show President Bryan Lilley. “For the Blue Angels, 2019 will be the first time in more than a decade that the team will be performing in South Florida.”
Both air demonstration teams have performed at previous shows, but neither were present in 2017.
