Miami-Dade Police Department suspends search for Mercedes-Benz

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – Miami-Dade Police Department officers found a Mercedes-Benz that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash Thursday in Miami Lakes. 

Tatum Holloway was crossing Fairway Drive when a driver ran her over, police said. 

A Miami Lakes resident found Holloway, 26, dead on the road about 2:30 a.m. 

Friends were mourning her death on social media Thursday night. 

"Tatum Holloway had the most beautiful soul and smile," Mallory Perrett wrote on Facebook. "You could just feel her sunshine."

According to Holloway's Facebook account, she was from Pretoria, South Africa. She was working at Parkwest Gallery in Southfield, Michigan, and was in town for business. 

Authorities were asking anyone with information to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
