Fire at Miami apartment building displaces four families

No one was hurt in blaze, officials say

MIAMI ā€“ A fire at an apartment building in Miami displaced four families Saturday, officials said.

MiamiĀ Fire-Rescue Capt.Ā IgnatiusĀ Carroll said the blaze started about 1:30 p.m. inside one of the units at Northwest 12th Street and FirstĀ Place in the city'sĀ OvertownĀ section.

No one was hurt in the fire, Carroll said.

Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes, but four units were damaged in the blaze.

The Red Cross was at theĀ building after the fire, helping the displaced families, heĀ said.

Carroll said firefighters are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
