Police seek information after Fort Lauderdale man fatally shot

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ Fort Lauderdale police are seeking information about a shooting that left one man dead over the weekend.

The shooting was reported about 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the area ofĀ 1400 Northwest SixthĀ St.

Police said officers found the victim, Brandon Reid, 27, of Fort Lauderdale, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Reid was taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where he died.

No arrests have been made.

A makeshift memorial now marks the spot where Reid was gunned down. His family members said they are desperate for answers while the killer remains on the loose.

"I really want someone to come forward. This has to stop," the victim's mother, Cynthia Reid, said.Ā 

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Detective Jim Jaggers at 954-828-5534 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
