UN imposes new sanctions on North Korea

The United Nations Security Council imposed new sanctions on North Korea Friday in response to the country's latest ballistic missile test, reports The Associated Press.

The new measures will aim to reduce the nation's oil supply by up to 90 percent, and all North Korean nationals working abroad will have to return home within 12 months.

China, the country's main trading partner, voted in favor of the U.S.-drafted resolution.
