MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A 46-year-old man was shot multiple times early Saturday in northwest Miami-Dade County, police said.
Alvaro Zabaleta, a spokesman for Miami-Dade Police Department, said two men approached Curtis Jefferson in a courtyard and opened fire about 6:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of Northwest 24th Avenue.

Zabaleta said the suspects fled by the time officers arrived. Police did not provide a description of the two men.
Jefferson was transported to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, where he is listed in critical, but stable condition.
