Economou said police don't believe the victim's car was traveling at a fast speed when it crashed into a traffic barrel and came to a rest in the grassy shoulder.

Southbound lanes of I-95 were closed between Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach and Yamato Road in Boca Raton for several hours during the homicide investigation. The lanes reopened shortly before 9 a.m.
